The Melody Series — campaign creative direction and production

Overview

XBUE was not a new brand. It already had years of experience in the UAE fragrance market, an existing customer base and a strong product portfolio.

The founders wanted the brand to move beyond the way it had previously been perceived and build a stronger, more reputable position across the GCC.

The products had potential. The presentation around them did not fully communicate that value. Dibolky was brought in to help change that.

  2. Spring 2026

    New creative direction

    Next chapter

The partnership continues as XBUE expands its platform for GCC growth.

01The Challenge

A good product was being held back by its presentation.

XBUE had grown over several years, but its communication had become fragmented. The visual identity, social media presence, content direction and overall brand experience lacked a consistent premium language.

There was no single brand voice or clear creative direction, and the brand often communicated at a level below the quality of the products themselves.

The ambition was to change that perception without losing the recognition XBUE had already built — creating a clearer, more confident identity for a higher-value audience, stronger retail perception, online sales and future distributor confidence.

02Understanding the Brand

Before changing the communication, we studied what the brand could become.

We spent the initial phase understanding the business, its products, audience, existing presence and the founders’ long-term ambitions. The opportunity became clear: XBUE did not need more communication. It needed better communication.

Instead of adding more elements, more graphics and more messages, we began reducing the noise.

01

Less clutter

A visual system that gives each product and idea more space to speak.

02

More clarity

A more deliberate hierarchy across every customer-facing touchpoint.

03

Stronger ideas

Campaign concepts built to create a feeling, not simply fill a content calendar.

This became the foundation for XBUE’s new creative direction: a more confident brand presence, made through restraint and consistency.

03Repositioning the Brand

From product-led communication to brand-led storytelling.

We refined how XBUE presented itself across its major customer touchpoints — moving away from inconsistent, highly promotional communication toward a cleaner, editorial and more controlled visual language.

01

Brand positioning

A clearer direction for how XBUE should be perceived within the fragrance market.

02

Visual direction

A premium visual language with stronger hierarchy and a more controlled point of view.

03

Brand voice

A recognizable way to speak, present products and communicate campaigns.

04

Social transformation

A more consistent, cohesive social presence with greater clarity.

05

Creative direction

Campaign concepts that make each fragrance feel part of a larger brand world.

06

Performance alignment

Meta advertising that carries the same brand strategy into paid communication.

The New Visual Language

Campaigns that make the brand feel considered.

A cleaner art direction gave XBUE a more recognisable world — elegant, editorial and built around ideas rather than promotion alone.

04Before → After

The change was not about adding more. It was about becoming more intentional.

The repositioning established a more premium creative direction across the brand, with campaigns built around concept, mood and storytelling rather than individual product promotion.

The shift in approach

  1. Stage 01

    Fragmented

Inconsistent visual communication across digital touchpoints.

  2. Stage 02

    Intentional

Cleaner layouts, stronger hierarchy and greater clarity.

  3. Stage 03

    Concept-led

Campaigns built around mood, storytelling and a larger brand world.

  4. Stage 04

    Recognisable

A controlled presence designed to build perception and long-term value.

05The Melody Series

Turning fragrance into an experience.

One of the first major expressions of XBUE’s new creative direction was the Melody Series. The collection included fragrances such as Jaws and Aria, with names and identities that naturally connected with music.

Instead of treating them as individual products, we built the campaign around the idea of melody. Music notes, rhythm, atmosphere and cinematic storytelling became part of the visual language.

The intention was simple: a fragrance should not just be shown. It should create a feeling.

The resulting campaign moved XBUE toward a more editorial, concept-driven style — a confident demonstration of what the new brand could look and feel like.

06Creating Moments People Notice

Creativity became part of the brand experience.

Repositioning only works when people begin to notice the difference. One campaign paired an XBUE fragrance with an unexpected visual: a snake.

Displayed prominently in a major mall environment, it became one of the brand’s most noticeable visual executions. Customers began commenting on the new direction and asking about the team behind the work.

There was no need to explain that the brand had changed. People could see it.

A Statement in Scent

A new world for the product to live in.

From sharp editorial compositions to cinematic product moments, the campaign language gave each fragrance a larger role in the brand story.

07The Shift

A more confident brand entering its next phase.

XBUE’s transformation cannot be represented by a single campaign metric. The objective was larger: to establish a clearer premium position, more consistent visual identity, stronger social presence and a more distinctive campaign language.

The work created greater confidence in the brand’s communication, a growing connection with new audience segments and a stronger foundation for retail, digital and distributor growth across the GCC.

XBUE already had the product. Our role was to make sure the brand surrounding that product communicated the same level of ambition.

Strategy gave the brand clarity. Creative gave it character. Consistency gave it confidence.

What the brand carries forward

  • A clearer premium position
  • A distinct campaign language
  • A stronger platform for retail, digital and distributor growth
